Busy week ahead, but I promised I would make time to write in here! Field hockey practice started today, Megan’s party this Friday, you get the gist. NOT looking forward to it. Megan’s been pissy at me since last week because I made the field hockey team and she didn’t? I mean, she’s FINE at the game but she’s not GREAT, and Linda (the captain) is still kinda bitter, because Megan is dating James, her ex, and Linda pretty much runs the team. Ugh. I HATE drama.
Classes are ok, but so much calculus homework…barf. Studying lots with Stefan, at least ❤. Later! Rachel.
Megan’s party was fine, I guess. I am soooo hungover. Casie’s brother bought her a vodka and she smuggled it past her parents in a shampoo bottle. You could still taste the artificial strawberries! I got sooo sick I barely even talked to Megan. Didn’t help that she kept sneaking off for long periods of time, probably to be with James. Hah, she can be so wild sometimes. At one point I walked in on her washing blood out of her clothes in the bathroom in the basement and she was so mortified to see me!! I was like, girl, don’t stress, we’ve all been there, just get a tampon.
Seriously, calculus class is going to ruin my liiife. I mean, I understand it mostly, but Miss Klompen assigns us more homework than anyone else. I was almost glad when field hockey practice was cancelled today (Linda hasn’t shown up to school this week). Ugh. Already counting down the days to the end of the semester.
Catch you later!
I got out of math class today!!!! There is a God. These police officers came to our school and wanted to talk to me about Megan’s party. At first I was nervous because I thought maybe someone tipped them off about the shampoo vodka but they just had a lot of questions about if I had seen Megan that night? And I told them, duh I saw her, it was her party. Like, who decides to throw a party on a night that she has something else to do? Then they asked me all these questions about Linda, when did I see her last, blah blah it was almost as boring as math class (almost). Like, she probably just ran off to her dad’s place again because everyone knows her mom can be a total dictator. Then Megan totally ambushed me after and seemed to be obsessed with went on in there, if they questioned me about her, what I said about her in response. She seemed SUPER interested when I told her about Linda’s cray relationship with her mom. It’s pretty obvious what is happening: Megan has a crush on one of the police officers. The younger one is kinda cute, but James would totally murder him in cold blood if he knew.
Went homecoming dress shopping with Megan today. It’s weird, cuz we usually wear the same size, but when she tried on a dress that had fit me, it basically hung off her. And I’m not gaining weight! So I told her what we learned in health class last year — that all these fad diets are really bad for you, even if they were in Goop, and she just said that she hasn’t had much of an appetite lately, and that nobody other than Gwyneth herself actually reads Goop, and who am I anyway, her mom? I guess it’s true what they say about hungry people being bitchy. Anyway, I got this sparkly halter that’s not really red but kind of red, you know? Sort of a deep orangey color. No, I guess you could call it red.
Ummmm, random!! Apparently Linda’s mom was arrested in relation to Linda’s disappearance? The cops got an anonymous tip over the phone and got something called a warren to search the house and found a bloody field hockey stick. According to Jenna, who lives next door, Linda’s mom was all “I didn’t do it!” and “I was clearly set up!” and “The police in this town are incompetent fools!” and “It was the girl who did it! The creepy jealous girl! Go arrest her!” You know, the usual. When Jenna was telling this to us at lunch today, I said, “I think it’s PRETTY obvious who is really behind this,” while giving Megan a knowing glance, because obviously Linda faked her death so she could get out of town without anybody following her so she could finally pursue her dream of becoming a field hockey player without her mom getting on her case. Megan gave me this horrified look and took off before I could explain this out loud to Jenna. I guess she’s really disappointed that Linda would abandon her field hockey team like that. Oh well. What can you do.
Megan’s been acting sooooo weird. We got our calculus tests back today, and I got an A- and she got a C+ so I offered to study with her for the next one but when I told her I was going to “teach her a lesson” she just gave me one of those weird looks again. And then later I overheard telling James that I “know too much” which, maybe I do, but I offered to help tutor her!! Anyway, I don’t have time for this. Homecoming is tonight. I’m going with Casie and Jenna. I thought Stefan was going to ask me but he never did :(. Oh well. Looking forward to dancing with my girls!
OH MY GOD.
HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO BLIND.
I WAS SO WRAPPED UP IN SCHOOL AND DRAMA THAT I MISSED THE CLUES RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.
IT JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT YOU NEVER REALLY KNOW A PERSON EVEN WHEN YOU THINK YOU DO.
Ok. Here it goes:
STEFAN ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!!!!!
He was at homecoming last night and he also just went with friends and I thought he didn’t like me, but it turns out he was just really shy!! And I told Casie about my crush on him, and she told her brother (I know, I could MURDER her, but it all worked out), and he’s friends with Stefan’s brother, and then once he knew that I liked him he could finally mustard up the courage to ask me out!!!! Aaaahhh!!! Life is so perfect sometimes.
Megan has still been weird. She didn’t show up to the dance last night, but I think she wants things to go back to normal. She texted me asking if I could meet her after dark at the old abandoned pier to talk, and if I could please come alone. Hopefully we will sort things out. Oops, I should probably leave now or I’m gonna be late.
See you soon!
